岗位描述：

Responsibility:

 Initial setup and ongoing management and compliance of the vivarium.

 Maintain training records and SOPs in accordance to guidelines and policies of the Animal Welfare Act and AAALAC policies regarding the care and use of animals.

 Daily oversight and monitoring of animal assess health; administer medications, vaccinations and other prophylactic treatment as necessary.

 Hire assistants/animal technicians to support facility (routine procedures and animal husbandry activities) and train as appropriate. Schedule and coordinate daily work activities.

 Establish and lead the IACUC and be responsible for supporting administrative duties.

 Prepare required annual reports as needed.

 Coordinate with facility managers and EHS managers to maintain/monitor vivarium overall performance/safety. Monitor supplies and inventory for the vivarium.

任职资格：

Requirement:

 Master’s degree with 2+ years of related working experience or Bachelor with 5+ years of related working experience; able to manage the vivarium independently.

 Extensive experience in a laboratory animal facility with some experience in a supervisory and/or managerial role in an AAALAC accredited animal research facility.

 Research experience with rodents, dogs and NHPs.

 Knowledge and experience in proper methods of laboratory animal husbandry, handing and restraint, injection and sample collection technique, and euthanasia techniques etc.

 Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills. Able to interact professionally with investigators, contractors, vendors and staffs.

 Communicate clearly in written and verbal forms.

 Able to understand deadlines and commitments.
